During medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic excellence and was later recognized as Resident Research Champion at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Following his residency, Dr. Szynkarski attended a fellowship in refractive and cataract surgery at Parkhurst NuVision in San Antonio, where he gained extensive experience in vision correction and advanced surgical techniques.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Szynkarski is committed to global health. He has led medical mission trips to underserved communities in Peru, Nepal, and the Dominican Republic, providing sight-restoring procedures and education abroad.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Szynkarski enjoys traveling with his wife and two children, as well as weightlifting, basketball, classic car restoration, and landscaping.
